CH (CAC,
INTL) EURO DE LA PETACA, CGC

Above: Ryan and Oso tracking
at the 2007 SWD Jamboree. Oso was so into the scent, he had to be
carried off the course!
There is no question: Oso is a
wonderful boy and the reason that many folks in the US have fallen
in love with this breed. His mellow and soulful personality would
have made him a perfect therapy dog.
We now know where the Ariosa A and
B litters' herding instinct comes from---Oso! At the age of 8,
having never seen livestock before, Oso powered ON at his instinct
test at the 2007 SWD Jamboree in Connecticut. (click on the video

Deborah Lee Miller-Riley's Water Workshop (2007 SWD Jamboree)
Today, Oso resides with my sister's
family on the east coast, where he something of a neighborhood darling
(and also bent on avoiding baths). It was very difficult for me to let
Oso leave my house--this sort of dog comes along only once in a
lifetime--but how could I deny him three boys of his very own?
Besides, they let me borrow him when I
go home to visit family in Connecticut. If you're a dog-lover, you'll
know there's nothing worse than dog withdrawal during the holidays!
